FULL SHOTS OF THE NEW SUPERMAN SUIT!

WOW This is pretty lame indeed... Personally I'm not feeling the new look.

Thoughts?

Man of Steel get's it's new Perry White!

Lois Lane and Clark Kent just got their boss: Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in Man of Steel, we have learned.

White has traditionally been an old white man who was a hard-charging, old fashioned newspaperman, who relies on his ace reporters, Clark and Lois, to get the big scoop. Jackie Cooper played White in the Christopher Reeve-era Superman films, and Frank Langella took on the role in director Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in 2006... This is about the only decent casting in this movie thus far.

Are fans really going to boycott the new DCU Reboot?

If you follow the group "Boycott the DC Reboot" on facebook you would think that it might happen! As you know the DCU is being rebooted after the flashpoint, and they are restarting Beginning on Aug. 31, every major DC comic will be going back to issue #1. Major characters' costumes will be altered, their backstories changed and the entire DC universe will never be the same.

According to DC's press release:
"This year, change is in the air at DC Comics.  On Wednesday, August 31st, DC Comics will launch a historic renumbering of the entire DC Universe line of comic books with 52 first issues, including the release of JUSTICE LEAGUE by NEW YORK TIMES bestselling writer and DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and bestselling artist and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee.

The publication of JUSTICE LEAGUE issue 1 will launch day-and-date digital publishing for all these ongoing titles, making DC Comics the first of the two major American publishers to release all of its superhero comic book titles digitally the same day as in print.

DC Comics will only publish two comic books on August 31st: the final issue of this summer's comic book mini-series FLASHPOINT and the first issue of JUSTICE LEAGUE by Johns and Lee, two of the most distinguished and popular contemporary comic book creators, who will be collaborating for the first time. Together they will offer a contemporary take on the origin of the comic book industry's premier superhero team.

In the hours, days and weeks to come, we'll have more news about the other titles. Tomorrow, we'll hear from Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee about this momentous occasion. Keep checking THE SOURCE for updates about the other first issues.
This year, make history with us."
Big words. But why now? What's the use? And is this causing fans to actually boycott the DCU?

On the facebook page the group has posted this...
Why they have the right to do this to us. The "MAN" thinks is going to make them money, but we know its a big FU to our face. We should not take this BS. We should fight. I know what you guys are going to say you will not win. Its a lost cause. You know your maybe right, but I want to see if I can do something about this.
But when looking around I found that this isn't the only group! There are others like... "Boycott Starting Over DC Comics" and "The Reboot? WTF?" so this leads me to ask the question! Will this change the minds at the heads of the DCU/WB? Or will sales themselves start to change their minds? If the later is what might change their minds then the 30% decrees in sales since the reboot was announced might be cause for concern.

In all honesty this reboot is not needed, and it's stupid... You want to make these characters more relevant? Or you want the readers to buy more comics? Well here is a simple solution. Put out better quality material.

But honestly nobody wants to see Action Comics rebooted to number 1 again! There can only be one number 1, and this is a big mistake by the DCU. The backlash it's having should tell them that the fans don't want this reboot.

Let's hope they listen to the fans for once... lol As I type that I laugh because they will never listen to the fans.

Sad but true...

Tom Welling and Erica Durance on the Big Screen?

Thanks to the YouTuber who posted this video!

http://www.youtube.com/user/sculdeurienne1

"Erica Durance has probably done the most amazing job as Lois Lane compared to any other actress. Read statements by comic writers such as Geoff Johns and Jeph Loeb, they all agree. As far as Superman, the character is not a hard one to portray, but god damn Tom Welling definitely looks like Superman should. I love the Superman mythology and Smallville has definitely done it justice in their own way. I would love to see them both on the big screen. I fully endorse this!" - t3hj3w

I don't think I would say it better myself so I just simply posted a post on the YouTube page of this video. WOW great job on making the video, and I fully support this movement! As you can tell I'm all for Tom & Erica going to the big screen.

After watching the epic finale of the show last night I want this more now then ever!!!!

Smallville Series Finale!

So what did you think of the Smallville Finale last night? It's done, and over with after 10 seasons of a great run on tv the show is now finally over.

What does Batman's own Christian Bale think of Henry Cavil as Superman?

So, Batman to Superman, what is Bale's reaction to Henry Cavill's casting in the Christopher Nolan-produced Man of Steel movie? None. He stares kinda blankly at a reporter for a beat or two, clearly having never, ever heard of Cavill. Finally, he summons a blurb you can be assured will not appear on a DVD box anytime soon, "Well done for whoever you mentioned."

Henry Cavill cast as Superman in Zack Snyder's reboot

new-superman-next-superman-who-will-play-superman-christopher-nolan.JPGIt was a long hunt. After rumors of "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm and "True Blood" star Joe Manganiello stepping into the role of Superman, it's been confirmed by Warner Bros. that British thesp Henry Cavill will be the new Son of Krypton.
As we reported back in November, the studios were searching for thesps between 28 and 32 years of age and whoever they chose would probably be from a TV series or a relative unknown ala prior Men of Steel Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh.

Ladies and gents, meet 28 year-old Henry Cavill, star of "The Tudors" on Showtime and the upcoming "Immortals," opening this fall.

Can Henry Cavill fill the shoes of The Man of Steel?

The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, who stated in a press release, "In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield."

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. It will be written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

Look for the film on big screens December 2012

p.s

This casting sucks donkey balls!
