Superman Returns star Brandon Routh recently told Omelete (via ThinkMcFlyThink.com) that his contract to star in a sequel has expired, but that if they were to call again, he would go back to the character without thinking twice. Other than that, Routh said he does not know anything about the status of the possible project.

Glad Routh is gone. He was a waste of space. Routh was a complete black hole in the middle of the movie. It's no wonder he has struggled to find work over the last 3 years.
